Solutions to homelessness.

HomeRise's MISSION is to help homeless people secure housing and become self-sufficient.

Why is it important?

Newly released data shows that San Francisco has the second largest homeless population in the country, with more than 6,600 people living on the streets of this Bay Area city.

How do they do it?

Since 1990, HomeRise, formally Community Housing Partners (CHP) fulfills its mission by developing high quality, supportive housing to help individuals rebuild their lives + break the cycle of homelessness.

Housing: HomeRise believes that individuals that have experienced homelessness need safe, supported and affordable housing to stabilize their lives.

Engagement: They understand that the experience of homelessness can be isolating and erode one's sense of hope and trust. HomeRise staff is trained to engage with tenants to build trusting relationships and to build hope.

Choice: They provide non-judgmental support to tenants to reduce the harm in their lives, assisting them to make informed choices and stabilize their lives.

Advocacy & Community Leadership: HomeRise's history and work are rooted in community organizing.
