Be a Kind Hotel or Charity

BECOME A KIND TRAVELER HOTEL

Be part of a growing global movement fueled by every day people who love to travel, by charities that dedicate themselves to creating a better place to live, and by hotels and travel properties like yours that believe they have a responsibility to the communities where they do business. We are always on the lookout for the world’s best hotels and unique properties that want to become a force for kindness in local and global communities.

Kind Traveler mobilizes a pathway for travelers to make a positive impact to the communities they visit through its Give + Get booking platform. We also tell the hotel story through ‘Kind Factors’ – the term we use to explain how the hotel is impacting individual wellness, sustainability, and community. This unique way of telling the hotel’s story communicates a commitment to social responsibility, at a time when transparency is expected from today’s travelers. Hotels must also communicate their sustainabilty and community impact efforts on their own website, further creating transparency to their efforts.

BECOME A KIND TRAVELER CHARITY

LOCAL CHARITIES:

Offering travelers the chance to benefit the local community of which they are visiting, every hotel will have the opportunity to partner with a local charity. Local charities may be suggested on behalf of the hotel, local tourism board or the Kind Traveler community. Local charities must adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Charities must be recognized as a tax-exempt public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and provide official proof of current nonprofit or charitable status. Government agencies, for-profit entities, and nonprofit organizations (NGOs) without nonprofit or charitable status are not eligible to become Kind Traveler nonprofit partners.
  2. International charities that are not registered as 501(c)3 in the United States, must provide proof they are in good standing with its local, state, or federal regulators.
  3. Local charities are invited to Kind Traveler as a community-based decision amongst the local hotel in the host destination of the charity, Kind Traveler, and sometimes the local tourism board.
  4. Charities must address at least one of the United Nations' Global Goals for sustainable development which largely center around preventing poverty and advancing environmental sustainability
  5. Charities must be considered humane and not fund animal testing or research.
  6. Charities must be within the destination of the host hotel.
  7. Kind Traveler reserves the right to refuse any charity that conflicts with Kind Traveler's core values or ethics.
