The MISSION of Changing Tides Foundation (CTF) is to empower women to protect the planet.
Why is it important?
Changing Tides is a Women-Led Organization for all people striving to make a difference in the world around them while celebrating diversity & inclusivity. Changing Tides was founded in 2016 by 5 SEASTERS that felt called to do more than take waves. Born from a desire to create a community of people of all genders, shapes, colors, and sizes who feel connected to the sea, CTF has grown into a beacon that calls in men and women alike and engages us to use our voices to advocate for the planet and all of its inhabitants.
How do they do it?
The vision of CTF is to create a community that connects us all to our humanity, our kindness, our planet, and each other. Their strategy encourages individual action to make collective change for equity, justice and a healthier future.
Changing Tides Foundation initiates projects that enable compassion and teamwork to create life-enhancing and earth-protecting opportunities. Some of these projects include; the Women’s Outreach Mentorship Program (WOMP), the ongoing “Where Does It Go” video series that educates viewers about waste systems in the US to help us become more mindful consumers, and the Community Compost Movement to name a few.
