Spencer Spellman
Growing up with a flight attendant sister and a school teacher father who spent most of the summer camping, Spencer has always had a knack for adventure and travel that he hasn't been able to kick. With a disposable camera in one hand and pen and pad in another, he saw most of the U.S. before graduating high school. He's since traded in his disposable camera and pen and pad for a DSLR and laptop, but that sense of travel remains the same.
While splitting time as a child between a horse ranch and dairy farm, Spencer now calls the West Coast home, where he's been a traveling writer and photographer for several years. As such, his travels have taken him from living beneath the sounds of howler monkeys in Costa Rica to diving off the coast of Japan's Okinawa islands to searching for the best beer in Europe. You can find some of his work in Travel + Leisure, Los Angeles Times, Outside Magazine, TIME, and National Geographic, just to name a few.
When he's not traveling, you can find him on the West Coast, on a never-ending search for the best cocktails and craft beer, or in his home bar, perfecting his Sazerac recipe.
