ABOUT
The Setting
Resting on the banks of Istanbul's Bosphorus, the narrow natural waterway separating Europe from Asia, are a pair of spacious and gracious Ottoman-era mansions that have been sensitively restored as the Six Senses Kocatas Mansions. It’s Belle Epoque glamour and revelry aligned with today’s respect for environmental purism that makes this property so special. A setting doesn’t get any better than this waterfront landscape, with breathtaking views between towering laurel trees. It also doesn’t get any better than Six Senses’ philosophy on conservation and giving back to their local communities. From experiences designed to highlight the rich regional history, to supporting neighboring dolphins through a collaboration with the Turkish Marine Research Foundation, to simply offering guests the best version of themselves through hands-on workshops, Six Senses Kocatas Mansions is redefining what eco-conscious luxury can be.
Sleep and Sanctuary
The 43 generously sized deluxe guest rooms and six varieties of suites will occupy the two historic mansions - Kocatas Mansion and Sait Pasa. Since both were built in the Ottoman era, you’ll enjoy design features showcasing history, local flavors and Six Senses touches, high ceilings, marble en-suite bathrooms alongside modern touches like minibars, Marshall Bluetooth speakers, and yoga mats. The exceptional Bosphorus rooms boast panoramic views of the water. Relax in Kind comfort on beds made from all-natural organic products in accordance with Six Senses sleep program. Wash in Kind comfort, too, as artisan soaps are made organically in-house. In short, Six Senses is a new beacon of inspiration for Istanbul's premium hospitality sector.
Eat. Pray. Eat.
Relive a golden era of dining and imbibing based on Six Senses’ pioneering eating and drinking philosophies. Guests who are in tune with or aspire to a balanced wellness-driven lifestyle without compromising on some of life's finer indulgences will have a literal feast. Let celebrity chefs Richard Sandoval and Mehmet Gürs take you on a culinary and cultural journey. Start with Toro Latin Gastro Bar, serving Pan-Latin and Asian cuisine, with a bar orchestrated by a skilled mixologist. Avlu is the all-day dining venue of Six Senses Kocatas Mansions. Serving dishes based on the Eat With Six Senses philosophy, Avlu invites you to enjoy its stylish interiors and greenery atmosphere of courtyard blessed with breathtaking Bosphorus views. The all-day Kahve Lounge is located in a bohemian-style gilded hall offering up coffees, sweet and sticky pastries and refreshing Bosphorus views in turn.
