ABOUT
The Setting
In the heart of Las Catalinas, a tropical car-free town overlooking the Pacific with charming plazas, shops and restaurants interwoven in nature, is the recently christened Santarena Hotel. Paying homage to the old mansions of cities like Havana and Cartagena, this bohemian pearl offers authentic coastal relaxation, picture a stunning rooftop terrace pool, sweeping ocean views and shaded areas perfect for meditation and yoga. Oh, it doesn’t stop there. You’re mere steps away from 40+ kilometers of hiking and biking trails and postcard-worthy Playa Danta, where paddleboarding, swimming, kayaking and snorkeling are on the daily menu.
Sleep and Sanctuary
The 45 stylish rooms and suites at Santarena are seamlessly woven with gracious hospitality and feature king sized beds, woods floors made from sustainable materials, and large bathrooms that showcase locally sourced amenities. Most of the rooms come with balconies adorned with handmade Cuban-style tiles and all offer modern touches like Wi-Fi, HDTV with cable and independent AC thermostats.
