ABOUT
The Setting
The Lodge at Bodega Bay, gracing the westernmost edge of Sonoma County, is a sight to behold. The Lodge is perched upon the rugged Sonoma Coast, offering immediate proximity to breathtaking beaches, artisanal farms, towering Redwoods, magnificent hiking trails, and the Russian River Valley – home to some of the best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the world.
You can peer out towards cinematic views of the wild Pacific shores and see the coastal California wildlife, including whales, seabirds, and seals. Speaking of nature, the Lodge’s Green philosophy is a core value, and they do everything they can to minimize their environmental impact. Let’s check the list, shall we? They conserve water, are energy efficient, and recycle everything. They even keep beehives on the property to protect the honeybee, and the Lodge’s owl houses offer a haven for these threatened bird species.
Sleep and Sanctuary
The dwellings at The Lodge are sure to awaken your inner poet. How else could you describe serene coastal views, crackling fireplaces, coma-inducing beds, and pristine bathrooms? The spoils continue with in-room jacuzzi rooms, a collection of guestrooms, and suites swimming in pure elegance. Most of the 83 secluded guest rooms and suites boast private patios, Bodega Bay vistas, and fireplaces, so there are no wrong choices here. If you’re bringing along your first mate and crew, we highly recommend the Captain’s Quarters for sprawling indulgence.
Eat. Pray. Eat.
Drake’s Sonoma Coast is poised to reward you with the best the coastal bounty offers in a region boasting a bevy of spectacular flavors and fertile valleys. The cuisine revolves around the seasonal availability of local, sustainably farmed produce, freshly caught seafood and nice touches like honey harvested on the property. Drake's Fireside Lounge is just what the doctor ordered if you prefer to pair casual coastal fare alongside sunset views and relax fire pits. Might as well post up, since Drake’s open for breakfast and dinner.
