The Setting
Itz’ana Resort & Residences is your perfect basecamp to explore the wild and wonderful nature of Belize. Nestled on the sandy shores of Placencia, kissing the sparkling blue Caribbean, the resort pays homage to Belize’s British Colonial Heritage and adventurous spirit. HOW TO GET THERE
By Plane
- 184 km/114 mi from Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) is served by most major US airlines. (Taxi must be negotiated prior to departure)
- All international flights land at the Philip Goldson airport in Belize City, but you can fly to Placencia on either of Belize’s two domestic air carriers (Tropic Air and Maya Island Air) from Belize City or any other airstrip in the country. From Belize City, there are at least five daily flights that begin in the early morning and continue through the early evening. All flights are on a 9-13 Cessna aircraft and the travel time is about 35 minutes to Placencia (PLJ).
By Bus/Metro
Take Belize Shuttle to Belize City ($20), transfer to Belize City-Placencia bus, once daily ($12), drive remaining 2 miles by car or taxi with a negotiated price before departure. About 5hrs 45min travel.
By Automobile
From BZE. Head East on Intn’l Airport Rd toward Northern HWY, take Coastal HWY to Southern HWY continuing to Placencia. Follow Placencia road to Itz’ana. Driving time approx 2 hr 54 min. Free parking.
