ABOUT
The Setting
Stepping off the seaplane at Hurawalhi Island Resort will naturally inspire awe with its contemporary over-water design set amidst the visually-stunning backdrop of the Maldives. Paradise awaits with both over-water and beach villa accommodations that are surrounded by crystal-clear water, while the resort is home to the world’s largest undersea all glass restaurant. Send us a postcard.
Kind travelers will be wowed by its on-site marine biology center led by Manta Trust, thoughtfully sourced food from its on-site hydroponic greenhouse, and the 2,735 solar panels that power this eco-luxe beauty.
Sleep and Sanctuary
Whether staying in a beach villa or an over-water villa, you’ll have views of the beautiful blue Indian Ocean water and plush perks like a private sundeck, and in some cases, may even have your own private plunge pool. Meanwhile, you can sleep with the peace of mind of traveling kindly since each room comes with organic Healing Ocean bath products by Healing Earth.
Eat. Pray. Eat.
Hurawalhi Island Resort’s expansive dining program starts underwater with 5.8 Undersea, which sits 5.8 meters (or about 19 feet) under the surface of the lagoon, making it a truly one-of-a-kind dining experience. Elsewhere is the main resort buffet-style restaurant, Canneli, and the new Kashibo Restaurant, specializing in Asian street food. Hurawalhi strives to use thoughtfully sourced organic and biodynamic produce, with much of their produce grown in their hydropnic greenhouse and other open areas.

HOW TO GET HERE
By Plane
The resort may only be reached during daylight hours by a 40-minute seaplane journey via Trans Maldivian Airways from Male International Airport (MLE).
