ABOUT
The Setting
The secret is out about California’s much beloved Central Coast. Known for quintessential laid-back California living, you’ll find beaches adorned with natural beauty, a diverse wine country that competes with anywhere in the world, and surrounding mountains offering countless hiking trails and exploration opportunities. Embodying the essence of California cool and living up to its moniker is Hotel SLO.
Located just a block from the historic Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, Hotel San Luis Obispo is steps from historic downtown and the perfect jumping off point for all Central Coast adventures. After rooftop yoga, grab a complimentary cruiser bike and explore the town chock full of one-of-a-kind boutiques, locally-focused eateries and galleries, or simply hop in the car for a breathtaking day drive up the coast to Hearst Castle. At the end of each fun-filled day you can return to your urban oasis and make yourself at home.
Sleep and Sanctuary
Make yourself at home in Hotel SLO’s 78 naturally bright and spacious eco-rooms, suites and studios with a playful, modern aesthetic that helps you decompress. All dwellings have either spacious terraces or balconies to capture surrounding splendor.
Special touches like natural woods, colorful hand-made Nani Marquina rugs, and original artwork capturing the area’s most iconic architecture all summon SLO’s laid-back style inspired by ranch and beach. Comfy beds with down comforters and deluxe linens, light-filled bathrooms, high-tech amenities, Nespresso makers and cozy slippers and bathrobes make you want to stay all day.
Eat. Pray. Eat.
In the dining department, Chef Ryan Fancher shines a spotlight on local ingredients from the hills and sea surrounding SLO. Start your day in SLO at the Daily Bread which offers artisan bread, pastries, breakfast burritos, and espresso or matcha beverages for grab and go. For a casual outdoor patio vibe with farm-fresh fare inspired by Italy and the Central Coast, sidle into Piadina for lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch.
For a more upscale experience, head to Ox + Anchor for French Laundry alum Chef Ryan’s modern spin on the classic steakhouse with many garden inspired first course selections for our vegetarian friends. Be sure to wet your whistle in the attractive lobby bar S.Low Bar where you’ll find craft cocktails and light bites, or up on high at High Rooftop Bar. Kind note: be sure to check out the Farmers Market dinners on Wednesdays.
