Located in downtown Los Angeles amid the city’s Diamond District, you’ll find Hotel Per La. This boutique property inhabits the former Giannini Building, which dates back to 1922 and once served as the local headquarters for Bank of Italy. The Italian-inspired and Los Angeles-curated property occupies 12-stories in the historic building and while consciously maintaining and repurposing many original elements (think Doric columns, ornate golden ceilings, and marble floors) still manages to offer a playful and contemporary feel.
Sustainability is also part of Hotel Per La’s ethos, where there’s a green sustainability team on staff and a long list of eco-friendly initiatives in place including water saving fixtures, energy efficient lighting, and a recycling program. The hotel also incorporates an abundance of locally sourced products in its gift shop and guest room mini-bars and furniture sourced from local artisans.
