ABOUT

The Setting

Upon arrival in the charming Swiss village of Zermatt, prepare to step back in time through car-free streets lined with charming shops, restaurants and galleries. Your destination, the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof, has been the crown jewel of the village since 1879. Newly renovated without sacrificing charm or prestige, the hotel was a long-time stop for luminaries visiting the alpine village to ski year-round or to bask in Matterhorn’s epic reflections. These days, the hotel also welcomes Kind travelers through her doors to dine in renowned Michelin-starred restaurants, rejuvenate in her world-class Vita Borni spa and support the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. As for the Zermatterhof’s surroundings, think majestic and iconic alpine postcard-like.

Sleep and Sanctuary

Peaceful refuge awaits in Zermatterhof’s thirteen different varieties of pet-friendly rooms and suites. All newly renovated dwellings range from classic and deluxe Alpine style to home-like Chalet Suites. Guests can expect all the homey feels like free breakfast, free WiFi, Nespresso machines or electric kettles with Ronnefedlt teas, all set amongst wood details and furnishings from surrounding forests. More opulent touches will be in-room fireplaces in some and balconies to take in fresh mountain air on the regular. Regardless of room classification, you’re treated to either magnificent Matterhorn or village views.

Eat. Pray. Eat.

Kind foodies' appetites will be peaked by Zermatterhof’s unique dining experiernces. For starters, there’s Michelin-starred Prato Borni showcasing ingredients from the Valais region. You’ll also find many vegetarian and gluten free options here. Brasserie Lusi is the perfect place for a less refined experience with all the trimmings of the traditional French brasserie.
