GAÏA Riverlodge’s open-air restaurant, Five Sisters, offers breathtaking views of the Belizean rainforest, alongside a menu that is organic and inspired by the elements. Feast from dawn til dusk on Belizean and international cuisine reflecting the various influences in local tropical fruits, vegetables and spices, with a twist of fusion and international flavors. Fruits and vegetables picked daily are harvested on-site by Sam, the Mayan farmer who oversees GAÏA Riverlodge’s organic garden. The rest of the Five Sisiter’s ingredients are supplied by a network of local gardeners and farmers to ensure the best produce in the area while respecting the resort’s sustainability philosophy. The soothing Five Sisters waterfall, just below the resort, is ideal for meditation and reflection. The resort is surrounded by hiking trails and birding walks, and mountain bikes are free and at the ready should you desire a little trail exploration. Take a dip in the natural swimming ponds at Gaia Riverlodge on the Privasson River. These deep natural pools filled with mountain spring water await you, lined with soft white sand, sun loungers, and palapas shading hammocks and chairs. At the end of your swim session take the hydro electric tram back up to the resort and cozy up by the bonfire and regale your tales of the day’s adventures.
