As a member of Feeding America, the largest domestic hunger-relief organization, its MISSION is to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading poverty and advocacy efforts, and transforming lives through innovative education.
Why is it important?
There are 784,110 food insecure individuals in South Florida that Feeding South Florida serves–that’s 25% of Florida’s food insecure population.
How do they do it?
They distribute 44 million pounds of food annually, throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.
