Why is it important?
Bleu (Building a Life of Underwater Exploration) World builds a vibrant community of ocean changemakers on Catalina Island by fostering collaboration among conservationists, explorers, and scientists who share a passion for protecting marine ecosystems. This network, otherwise known as the Bleu World Collaborative, will provide opportunities in ocean education, ocean science, and ocean conservation to people from all walks of life with a special focus on programs for children, underrepresented and diverse communities, and students in the environmental sector. With fundraising efforts, Bleu World also aims to reduce or eliminate most of the costs for in-ocean experiences making ocean appreciation and conservation more accessible.
