Charity Mission

  Support animal rescue efforts and be vital to the community's well-being in San Jose del Cabo. 

Why is it important?

Limiting animal suffering and overpopulation, as well as protecting threatened species and lending a helping hand to their community are some of Corazón Flora’s main goals. They primarily focus on helping rescue dogs and cats in distress, but they also relocate endangered bee hives into their bee sanctuary and tend to some wild animals in need of medical care. These efforts are driven by their belief in promoting animal welfare and creating a more caring coexistence between humans and these admirable beings.

How do they do it?

CF supports a local close-knit community of independent rescuers who open their homes to foster rescue cats and dogs in need. By providing these rescues with crucial medical care, spay and neuter services and hosting them at their monthly adoption events, they help ensure that these resilient animals find a forever loving home. 

Beyond encouraging rescue efforts, CF also supports their staff of over 400 by providing them with free vet consults for their pets, as well as hosting small-scale spay and neuter campaigns targeting feral cats and dogs. The aim of these campaigns is to limit suffering linked to animal overpopulation in the neighboring communities.

Additionally, they respond to calls and provide assistance to families in the San José area by removing wild bee hives from their homes and relocating them into their bee sanctuary. They also offer basic medical care and humane relocation services to certain wild animal species found within their property such as reptiles, birds, foxes, skunks and, occasionally, equines and cattle from surrounding areas.

  • Attend one of their adoption events (2 to 3 Tuesdays per month) and help them handle rescues and share their stories with the public.
  • Be a foster for a determined amount of time for one of their rescues (minimum 2 weeks to give them some stability)
  • Be a flight escort and help give a ride to a rescue that has a family waiting for them in the US or Canada (all expenses will be paid by the adopting family).
  • Cash donations during adoption events are also very welcome. Donors will use these donations to pay for the animals’ medical expenses and/or other basic care products.
