ABOUT
The Setting
Several years ago Francis Ford Coppola opened up his family retreat in the Mountain Pine Forest Reserve in western Belize to the public. For Kind Travelers that means an escape to an eco-luxury hideaway set against tumbling waterfalls, turquoise pools and dramatic jungle that is not only Rainforest Alliance Verified, but contributes monthly to local charities. This is the ideal place to explore the ancient civilization of the Maya on foot or horseback, stroll through the organic garden and retreat to your thatch-roofed cabana’s patio for a quiet glass of wine (Coppola, naturally). Can boutique lodges win Oscars?
