ABOUT
The Setting
On the leafy streets of a Santa Monica neighborhood comes a craftsman-inspired boutique with all the kind trimmings. Let’s check the list, shall we? The first prestigious LEED EB (existing building) hotel in the U.S., an inspiring offset carbon footprint program in place, a partnership with Clean the World to redistribute partially used soap, the City of Santa Monica Sustainable Quality Grand Prize Award recipient, the State of California’s Green Lodging Program Certification, and TripAdvisor’s Gold Green Leader Certification to name a few. They’ve also implemented the EarthView® proprietary sustainability program – more on that here: EarthView https://www.independentcollection.com/earthview. Furthermore, an ideal location in proximity to Santa Monica’s great cultural scene, bike-friendly streets, hike-friendly hills and stunning beaches should put The Ambrose on any “must-stay” list.
Sleep and Sanctuary
Travelers will find few spaces more inviting than those at The Ambrose Hotel. The 77 rooms feature an updated California Craftsman style that lends a cozy residential feel. Subtle design touches please guests at every turn, from the fresh color palette to the lighting. Some rooms feature vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and terraces or patios -- perfect for soaking up the temperate climate we enjoy most of the year. Modern, welcoming, and brightened by natural light, all studios and rooms also have spacious bathrooms with luxurious showerheads, bath products by L'Occitane, and plush La Bottega cotton robes and slippers.
