The MISSION of 2 Hands 2 Employ to work with partners in the Hospitality Industry to help Empower,
Educate, and Employ at-risk individuals. We accomplish this through our nine-month internship program, which includes one-on-one training, online courses, and Mentorship from Industry Leaders. This helps prepare each Graduate for Interviews with our partnered hotels and restaurants!
Why is it important?
Across LA, unemployment rates are at 7.5% compared to 6.3% for the state of California. Individuals coming out of homelessness and poverty, foster care, and the military lack the tools and resources necessary to obtain full-time employment.
How do they do it?
2 Hands 2 Employ is dedicated to excellence and empowerment, believing that everyone deserves a chance to succeed. Their goal is simple: to provide internships that lead to long-term employment and engage the community through their local garden events and programming. Partnering with businesses and organizations all over Los Angeles, their programs tackle barriers to the LA population including lack of transportation, education, training, mentorship and specialized skills.
