Aspen Hope Center provides a beacon of hope for those in emotional crisis in the Roaring Fork Valley.

The MISSION of the Aspen Hope Center (AHC)  is to extend a beacon of hope to those in emotional crisis and offer a continuum of comprehensive care while steadfastly working to decrease the stigma of mental illness through expert clinical care, public education, community collaboration and outreach.

Why is it important?

The Aspen Hope Center plays a crucial role in providing services and referrals as well as mobile crisis services to those in need of hope to the greater Roaring Fork Valley. According to data: there are approximately 41,000 suicides in the U.S. yearly, for every completed suicide there are 25 attempts totalling over one million annually, per the CDC. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for females 18-25. Of these suicide numbers, Colorado annually ranks in the top 10, nationally.

How do they do it?

The Aspen Hope Center provides a specific array of services designed to decrease the stress of navigating the convoluted system of mental health and most importantly, to tighten the reins of the gaps found in Roaring Fork Valley services.

The Hope Center provides a 24/7 confidential Hopeline where an on-call clinician can be reached. Community Education increases awareness and reduces the stigma of mental illness offering classes within the local community. With Individual Counseling, the Center offers short-term, solution focused therapy provided by licensed therapists. By offering Information & Referrals the Center assists the 24 percent of callers seeking mental health information and/or referrals to a mental health provider. The approximately 76 percent of callers to the center are in a state of crisis and benefit greatly from the Crisis Intervention & Individual Intensive Outpatient Program. Lastly, adding to the care and services provided, the Center benefits from deep Community Collaborations and partnerships with local agencies, schools, business and other non-profits.
