History and culture converge in downtown Los Angeles at the re-imagined Mayfair Hotel.

The Setting

The Roaring Twenties meet present-day Los Angeles at the new Mayfair Hotel, where nostalgic mid-century design converges with contemporary amenities inside this downtown Los Angeles building from the 1920s. The Mayfair's location amidst the Fashion District, and near the Arts District, is only fitting with the hotel's ode to art, like its artist-in-residence program, carefully curated art collection and frequent live music.

Sleep and Sanctuary

The Mayfair’s artistic theme continues throughout its accommodations, where literary themes, vintage Los Angeles maps, and black and white photography don the interiors of guestrooms, many of which feature views of the downtown skyline. Vintage interior vibes contrast the modern high-tech touches, while well-appointed décor is coupled with eco-friendly luxurious bath products from Gilchrist & Soames.

Eat. Pray. Eat.

The Mayfair features numerous food and drink options, where at the helm of its primary restaurant, Eve, is celebrity chef Scott Commings, season 12 winner of Hell's Kitchen. Mid-century modern themes can be found throughout the restaurants and bars, while the food of the hotel's main restaurant, Eve, is described as "modern American meets traditional European."

  • Open for lunch and dinner during the week, and brunch and dinner on weekends, Eve American Bistro features seasonal menus highlighted by organic ingredients and unique offerings like a rotisserie, raw bar and "Choose Your Benedict" for brunch.
  • M Bar is The Mayfair’s primary bar, characterized by a beautifully designed bar and open seating area styled with mid-century furniture. Enjoy a selection of craft beer, handcrafted cocktails and wine, and a small selection of foods (available until midnight) from its Executive Chef Karo Patpatyan.
  • Located just behind M Bar is The Library, a more intimate bar where guests can sit by the large fireplace amidst book-lined walls and sip craft libations while listening to piano music or playing a game of pool.
  • Last, but not least, is Fairgrounds, the Mayfair's charming coffee shop, showcasing made-to-order lattes, matcha, kombucha, or tea to kick-start your day.
The Art of De-stressing
  • Soon to come is the Mayfair's Pool Deck and Bar, which will be complete with private cabanas and an outdoor fireplace, and just off from the pool, a fitness center.
  • Continuing with the art theme, and unique to the Mayfair, is a custom-built podcast studio, which guests can book to record segments.
  • The Mayfair has an on-going art and music program, which each month includes art exhibits, live concerts, fashion shows, and culinary events.
