Find charming, farmhouse-inspired luxury paired with the exquisite beauty of Sonoma.

The Setting

Set in the winemaking haven that is Sonoma’s Russian River Valley lies a masterpiece, the Farmhouse Inn. Owned by fifth-generation farmers and winemakers intimately connected to the surrounding lands, this boutique hotel is like a fine wine itself. Find a Michelin starred restaurant sourced from the owner’s farm, a spa sourcing treatments from on-site produce, sommelier-led wine tours and countless green initiatives. With too many accolades to name here, it’s no wonder the Farmhouse Inn ranks among the most highly rated hotels in the world.

Sleep and Sanctuary

Whether a spacious and elegant suite with vaulted ceilings and woodland views or a charming cottages room where you can really cozy up, Farmhouse Inn has a sublime retreat to suit every style and occasion. The 25 guest rooms and suites (including eight early 20th century cottages with dry saunas) boast stylish comfort and Kind touches like Sonoma-made, organic Sumbody bath and beauty products and fresh seasonal flowers in every room. While each exquisite room has its own personality, you’ll find Inn-wide amenities like complimentary WiFi, flat screen televisions, large jetted tubs with steam showers, and in some cases, balconies with double-sided fireplaces. Truly a luxurious indoor/outdoor experience.

Eat. Pray. Eat.

Two fifth generation Sonoma farmers, a Michelin star chef, a world class maitre d’ and a team of accomplished sommeliers walk into a restaurant. There’s no joke there, that’s just a typical day at the Farmhouse Inn Restaurant. This cornerstone of the hotel’s ever-changing menu features ingredients straight from brother/sister owners Joe and Catherine Bortolomei’s family farm, or discoveries by accolade-laden chef, Steve Litke, on his daily farm stops en route to the Inn. Simply put, it’s fueled by perfect ingredients. Add to that perfection a wine program that strives to pair the best wines of Sonoma and Napa Counties with each dining experience and complimentary daily tastings. Sounds, well, perfect.

Farmhouse Inn Restaurant - Open Thursdays through Mondays, feel free to indulge in the One Michelin tasting menu, a journey of local flavors ranging from three to five courses perfectly paired with exquisite wines from the Inn’s preferred wine partners. Enjoy breakfast al fresco with a two-course signature artisanal breakfast or seasonal a la carte selections, all local and sustainable.

FARMSTAND - This all-day farm-to-fork dining option offers creative and fresh creations that reflect the local bounty to be had poolside, in-room, at The Spa, or on a sun-drenched terrace. Or, make it a liquid lunch with a fine selection of local brews, favorite local wines or an inventive seasonal “mocktail.”

A limited room service option is available and guests are encouraged to check with the front desk for daily offerings.

The Art of De-stressing

It’s no mistake we’re going to describe the exclusive treatments at the Spa at Farmhouse by Francis & Alexander (a venerable who’s who of spa curators) as farm-to-table, but that’s exactly what they are. Harvested on-site produce like Spring Forest honey, heirloom cider-apples from the home ranch and herbs grown in the Farmhouse Inn garden are the cornerstones of the spa experience. See for yourself with a “scrub, rub & shrub.” Melt away while seasonal scrub ingredients are mixed (by you or therapist) and rubbed into an exfoliating massage while you sip a healthful shrub made in the Farmhouse kitchen.

For some more de-stressing (that doesn’t involve wine), there’s a seasonally heated pool onsite as your proverbial oasis and guests looking to lift are welcome to complimentary gym passes at nearby Parkpoint Health Club. Nearby hiking (don't miss Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Preserve) and biking trails are also a plenty.
